SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS & DISABILITIES
The next parent and carer SEND drop in will be held on Tuesday 17th December from 9am. Rachel James from the Social, Communication, Interaction and Learning Team will be joining Mrs Spedding (Inclusion Leader) to answer any of your questions regarding all things SEND. Your child does not need to be on the SEND register for you to attend. Please come to the main school office on this date. Coffee, tea and mince pies will be available!
Low Ash Primary School is committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We work closely with families in our endeavour to provide an inclusive environment for all (including those deemed vulnerable learners who potentially could underachieve) whilst meeting individual needs. Our Inclusion Leader is Mrs Carmel Spedding and she is supported by our attendance, safeguarding & pastoral officer, Mrs Jaqueline Hill, and Mrs Sadie Kellett, our pastoral & family support worker.
Schools are required to publish information about services they provide for children with disabilities and special educational needs. All schools in the local area have a similar approach to supporting children with SEND and are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
