Some of our Year 4 students were invited to Bradford City Football Stadium to practise their writing skills. They had a tour of the ground and used this as inspiration to write their own suspense paragraph. They have written some fabulous pieces of writing about how they would feel if they were taking the game-winning shot at Wembley. The children then had the opportunity to meet Filipe Morais and to ask him questions – and of course, to ask for autographs and have pictures taken with him! We had a fantastic day and the children said, “It was exciting; they made the writing fun.” Mr Talbot, who was leading the workshop, also commented on the fantastic behaviour and attitude to learning that the children displayed. In his words, “The children have been a credit to Low Ash.” We look forward to displaying some samples of their work shortly.
