School meals are cooked on site every day by Mrs Lee and her team in the school kitchen. Our school meals provider is Facilities Management. Menus, which rotate on a 3 week cycle, comply with food standards set by the government.

The kitchen staff aim to cater for any special dietary requirements, including food allergies; please contact Mrs Lee if you wish to discuss any particular issues regarding school meals.
Lunchtime arrangements are staggered in order to accommodate the large number of pupils attending Low Ash. Sittings are as follows:
Payment for school meals can be made through ParentPay (on-line cashless system – please see separate information tab on the website or ask at the school office for details). Alternatively, money can be sent in a sealed envelope to school and placed in the locked payment boxes in the Year 3/4, Year 4/5 and Year 5/6 cloakrooms or given to class teachers (Reception, Years 1 and 2). Children are not required to hand over money or provide proof of payment at the point of receiving their school meal and children in receipt of free school meals are not identifiable by the way meals are served in the dining hall.
Information on Free School Meals is on the Council’s website at www.bradford.gov.uk/schoolmeals and provides useful information about school meals in general and Free School Meals. It also lists additional benefits children and parents may get if they are eligible for Free School Meals.
Packed lunches may be brought by children who do not wish to have a school meal. We encourage parents/carers to provide a healthy packed lunch and avoid crisps, chocolate biscuits and sweets. We have a number of pupils in school who have severe nut allergies and so ask that nut products are not included in packed lunches. Mrs Bako, Parental Involvement Worker and/or Mrs Richetta, Learning Mentor are happy to provide advice on preparing healthy packed lunches.
