Low Ash’s ‘Creative Carousel’ is one of the school’s biggest recent successes. Key Stage 2, working in small groups, now devote one afternoon per week to art, design, music or IT and are given the opportunity to take part in a different project each half term. The longer sessions spent on each activity have really given pupils the chance to ‘get their teeth’ into a project and further develop their skills in these areas. All of these changes have resulted in a curriculum which is ‘really improved’. (Alana, Y6).
This term throughout school we have learnt how to programme. Children have used the website Scratch to create their own algorithms, write , test and debug their own scripts to make their very own computer games!
